5 Reasons to Wed in the Winter

So, basically I'm just going to try to convince you to give Winter Weddings a second thought. This is the off- season when it comes to weddings, but, this is actually an amazing time and carries so many benefits!

1) Get the party started sooner!

It gets dark at around 5:30 PM now, You can enjoy your nighttime themed wedding alot sooner if you wait until the winter to pull this off. It sets the tone for a romantic dimly lit room adorned by lights or candles.

2) Take advantage of Off-season rates.

Peak season lasts during the warmer months, and venues are able to rest assured that no matter the rates, couples will rush to fill the peak season slots. They are absolutely correct. Those tables tend to turn once it cools down and everyone isn't booking wedding venues. You will find that you will have fewer, if any competitors when booking these beautiful venues in the winter. If your budget is already set, you can benefit by getting more bang for your buck in the winter.

3) The venue will probably be already decorated (to some extent).

If you decide that you want a Christmas Wedding in the days or weeks leading up to Christmas, your'e in luck. Your venue is probably already dripping with lights and decorated with greenery, a beautiful Christmas tree (or several) and a burning fireplace thrown in, all for free!

This isn't always the case, but a huge probability. Decor is a big cost when it comes to weddings, and having a beautiful and professionally decorated setting is wonderful. You can add your own touches and just follow the theme already in place to make your nuptials magical.

4) Your guests will probably already be off of work.

If your wedding is on Christmas Eve, New Year's Eve or New Year's Day, chances are, everyone you would like to invite will be off of work. However, it is important to rememember that off days are really special to most people and you don't want your wedding to feel like and inconvenience or chore. So, make it a really fun celebration. If you know that you aren't going to make this a fun, lighthearted party, please don't pick these days.

5) Honeymoon will likely be cheaper.

THis isn't always the case, however, many tropical locations are cheaper when it is less likely for people to travel there. If that doesn't sell you, herricane season will be long gone and you can have a worry free tropical vacay. The beautiful sand and sun will aso be the perfect contrast from your winter wedding.
